DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, April 14th\, from 3:00 – 4:00pm\, Weill Cornell 
 Medicine will host the annual William D. Stubenbord lecture sponsored by t
 he Louis Calder Foundation. This year’s Stubenbord lecture will be given
  by Curtis P. Langlotz\, MD\, PhD. His lecture is titled: “The Future of
  Artificial Intelligence in Medicine: Lessons from Medical Imaging”. Dr.
  Langlotz is a Professor of Radiology\, Medicine\, and Biomedical Data Sci
 ence\, a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Inte
 lligence\, and Senior Associate Vice Provost for Research at Stanford Univ
 ersity. He also serves as Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligen
 ce in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI Center). Dr. Langlotz’s NIH-funded labo
 ratory has led numerous national and international efforts to enhance medi
 cal imaging\, including the development of the RadLex standard terminology
  system and the Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center (MIDRC)\, a U.S. 
 national imaging research resource. The lecture will take place in Weill C
 ornell Medicine’s C-200 auditorium\, located on the second floor of 1300
  York Ave.\, followed by a reception in Griffis Faculty Club from 4:00 –

  Professorship was established in 1968 by a gift from the Louis Calder Fou
 ndation in memory of Louis Calder Sr. and Louis Calder Jr.\, and in recogn
 ition of the outstanding professional services and long-standing friendshi
 p that the late Dr. William D. Stubenbord had for them and members of thei
 r families. Dr. Stubenbord\, who died in 1982\, was a 1931 graduate of Wei
 ll Cornell Medicine and was associated with The New York Hospital–Cornel
 l Medical Center during his entire medical career.
