About this Event
1300 York Avenue, New York NY
The program is meant to update rehabilitation professionals (physiatrists, neurologists, physical and occupational therapist, speech pathologists, and others) on new development and strategies in stroke rehabilitation. The slate of topics is broad, ranging from acute management to chronic symptom management (pain, mood, spasticity, language deficits) to higher level, community activities (adaptive sports and aerobic exercise)
We are changing the format this year to reflect feedback from previous participants including an emphasis of shorter didactic lectures, case presentations and panel discussions. In addition, the faculty this year has a higher percentage on non-physician presenters (2/3 of the audience is typically therapists). Overall, the two day conference provides a succinct overview of state-of-the-art stroke rehabilitation.
