It is estimated that in 2018, 55,440 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the US. Dr. Allyson Ocean is a medical oncologist at the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health of New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell who sees some of those cases. Through clinical research, Dr. Ocean is able to offer patients access to the latest therapies, including cancer "vaccines"and immunotherapy. She and her colleagues are committed to bringing new treatments from the laboratory directly to patients, often years before those treatments are widely available elsewhere.
