Certain changes in vision are normal over time, but what are symptoms of eye diseases? Join us for a discussion of general eye health, how often to see an eye doctor, and the most common eye diseases affecting vision during the Weill Cornell Medicine Wellness Series with the Harry Belafonte 115th Street Library.
Weijie Violet Lin, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Opthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine
Dr. Lin has received several prestigious awards, including the Real World Ophthalmology Skilled Surgeon Award and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Young Eye Surgeons Best of Posters Award. Additionally, she delivered a TEDx Talk at Rice University focused on memory tools. She has spoken and taught at national conferences for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery, the Eye Bank Association of America, and Global Ophthalmology Summit.
As an author, co-author, and editor of numerous journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Lin's research interests encompass demographic and large-scale clinical studies of keratoconus, ophthalmic imaging and artificial intelligence, and cataract surgery.
