It is estimated that between 50 and 70 million Americans chronically suffer from a sleep disorder, hindering daily functioning and adversely affecting health and longevity. With approximately 90 distinct sleep disorders, what can go wrong, and what should we do about it.

Join us for a sleep health presentation as part of the Weill Cornell Medicine Wellness Series in partnership with the St. Agnes Library.

Daniel Barone, MD is the Associate Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Center for Sleep Medicine and an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Barone specializes in the evaluation and management of patients with all forms of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia, and narcolepsy. Dr. Barone is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Barone's first book, “Let’s Talk About Sleep,” was published in January 2018, followed by his second book, "The Story of Sleep:
From A to Zzzz," in January 2023.
