Dr. Caputa completed their PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, going on later to a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck for Immunology and Epigenetics. In 2019, They joined the editorial team at Nature Metabolism. In 2021, they joined Nature, handling molecular, mitochondrial, cellular & organismal metabolism, and cardiology, and vascular biology. In 2026, they moved to a new role at Nature, handling manuscripts involving applied biological and clinical AI & robotics.
