In alignment with the Dan McMenamin Endowment mission, the event strives to foster cooperation among patients, physicians, and researchers by educating patients on the complexities of collaborative care and offering resources to guide the patient in making informed decisions about their care. The target audience for the event is patients and caregivers of those diagnosed with or have the potential for diagnosis of rare cancers. Physicians and researchers in the rare disease space are encouraged to attend to hear directly from patients/caregivers and improve their knowledge of patient-centric care. The summit brings together key stakeholders in improving the patient experience and quality of care.
