Please join us for the 2026 AOA Visting Professor talk titled, "Why Mass Incarceration Matters for Medical Care” on Wednesday, May 6, which will be led by Ross F. MacDonald, MD, Chief Medical Officer, NYC Health + Hospitals | Woodhull; and Associate Clinical Professor, Medicine, NYU Langone Health.

Learning objectives:

• Describe epidemiology of incarceration both locally and nationally, with a focus on current trends.

• List medical and social conditions that are overly represented in incarcerated patients.

• Describe health risks associated with correctional settings.

• Describe barriers to health care for formerly incarcerated patients. Appreciate criminal justice reform as a way to advocate for individual and community health.
