Want to learn more about managing stress?
Come join us for a talk on Stress Management during the Weill Cornell Medicine Wellness Seminar at the Yorkville Library.
Elena Mayville, Ph.D., an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine, is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy supervisor at the Cornell Cognitive Therapy Clinic and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for people with anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Mayville, using strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, helps individuals manage their symptoms and accomplish their goals. She specializes in treating people with depression and anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, adjustment disorder and social anxiety disorder. In considering how multiple systems including culture, family, biology and identity contribute to a person’s strengths and challenges, Dr. Mayville believes people are experts in their own experiences, making treatment most successful when patients and therapists collaborate to plan and personalize treatment.
