Symposium 2017 Stroke Rehabilitation: Focus on Technology

The program is meant to update rehabilitation professionals (physiatrists, neurologists, physical and occupational therapist, speech pathologists, and others) on new development and strategies in stroke rehabilitation. The focus - about half of the presentations - focus on cognitive and motor recovery following stroke.

In addition, the participants will be provided an update in the acute management of stroke, neuroimaging, transcranial magnetic stimulation and central vestibular dysfunction. Taken together, the two days will be a broad overview of stroke rehabilitation.

We are including small group "workshop” interactions each afternoon. This is an opportunity for the participant to experience a more intimate one on one interaction with faculty and also "lay hands" on some of the new and established technology being used in state-of-the-art stroke rehabilitation.
