What causes lymphedema, the swelling caused when lymph fluid builds up in the body's soft tissues? What is the difference between primary and secondary lymphedema? There can be a genetic factor. Occupational Therapist Jill Dennis-Perez will discuss these questions and more. Ms. Dennis-Perez earned her Master's degree in Occupational Science at Ithaca College. She has been practicing occupational therapy for 15 year and serving patients at New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine for ten years.
