Alcohol and the Aging Body

Dr. Seyed Parham Khalili will provide us with an overview of the effects of alcohol on the body, including the general guidelines for safe levels of consumption for older adults.  He will look at potential issues to consider with respect to common medications and chronic illnesses. Dr. Khalili is currently a Geriatrics and Palliative Care Fellow at the Wright Center on Aging.  He earned his medical degree from the U. of Chicago, where he also earned a Master's degree in Health Policy.  Dr. Khalili completed his residency at New York Presbyterian - Columbia University and subsequently worked in Pennsylvania for four years before returning to New York.
